Bari need to lay of digging too many wells or over using water from wells, if the watertable in that region is not given enough time to recharge you will ultimately drink salt in the near future.

my point is, you cant turn a desert into a forest.

ever heard of 'fossil water'

there is alot of fresh water beneath these sands the question is how to reach it ,it's quite expensive , the Libyans spent $20 billion

There is plenty of water in the Nugaal to water thousands of acres. The sad thing is that at the moment it is just going over the cliff at Eyl. When I was there in 1966 there was a bundle of a dozen plows rusting away on the cliff face. All wasted.

I would not expect there to be that much ground water further north, beyond the needs of the herds and people. Fossil water is not going to last. A better plan than pumping is damming the tugs, to utilize water that would otherwise run off.

There's alot of ground-water around, it's just a question of willpower and having the right equipment and techniques. Burco is supposedly sitting on a collection of huge underground reservoirs.

We should organize a fact finding mission consisting of Somalis from various arid regions and pay a visit to Israel and learn how they did it.

Maybe disguise ourselves as Ethiopian Jews, so the rest of the Ummah won't find out. :o

Billions and billions of dollars from the same people who built them the Knesset, the Supreme Court, most government buildings, financed them from the beginning, bought them the weaponry in '49, etc; the Rothschilds.

Also the Jewish religious institution of kibbutz. Somalis can never be this disciplined.
