Qaldaan is used for anyone from the Northwest... it isn't just Issaq... my mom isn't Issaq and has been called Qaldaan

you mean anyone from north...geographically northwest would mean awdal/hargeisa

bakhtiyey waxaa la dhaha gaalada markey dhintaan...laakin qofka muslinka waxa la dhaha wuu xijaabtey amba dhintey aka wuu geeriyoodey.Never use the word BAKHTI on muslim person. :up:

It has to do with the accent, more than the region.

Actually ignore me. I knw weed as xashishad which is close enough. I'm having one of my bimbo moments.
