I agree, this place does more harm than good to me too. I am more happy away from it than visiting it, surely, about time I left too.
Waryaada/Akhyaarta/And anyone who had some interaction with me in the past and who felt offended somehow, I ask for your forgiveness inshallah.
Old man, are you out of your wits? you are one of the stasis in this dull corner of the cyber world. Come back inadeer.
Zabah
You won't see me say this to a woman, but you were rock solid wise, don't leave.
Bro Waraabiye, I have these deja vu feelings I get every now and then, gaar ahaan when I see a brainiac leaving the forum. Long ago, many intellectuals posted their farewells one after the other, I almost begged them to stay because I came to love their contributions and enjoy their company. It was fun to be around and participate. It makes me wonder what is wrong with the forum that I can't see but others saw which made them very uncomfortable to be around and had to leave. One by one, every valuable member left. May be age has to do something with it.
Thanks Saxib.
PS: By any chance, are you MAAHIR OR SOMALI2003? I shouldn't be asking but I have the habit of asking questions that come to mind, curiousity is my weakness.
There is this classic book [for the damn life of me why don't I recall the title of the book?] that I read ago'n long time. The main character of the story had homesick, so he had to came back to his hometown--where he grew up and missed it so damn much .
But then upon reaching there, to his surpise he found out that nobody in the town recognise him anymore nor do any freaking body cared his long overdue home-coming. He found out there big change and nearly he knew everything changed. But then he became the stranger of the town--kind of talk of the town.
The point is as the season change so are the people of S'net. Thus, as old pal of yours who happen to have new nick, i urge you to accept the change and move on.
Yes, the top notch writters that we once had here are long gone. Yes, it has something to do with age, as you mentioned. And yes, it also has to do with status(single, married) and status of occupation(some were students and now working --not time). But then there are some of us who are still lurking in the shadow from time to time.
So chill, dude, and stop having some nostalgic feeling and remenscing your old days, will you?. and besides leave these kids have their time.
zabah,
