BV, that is the problem though, sex education iyo asking these type of questions is a taboo in our culture, but it shouldn't be, the parents should sit down with the kids and ask them if they have any questions regarding sex and clarify any misconceptions they have, that would make a difference, it's funny how the parents freak out because their teenager son impregnated some girl, and never did anything to stop it.

I hate it when people ask questions that makes Islam look backwards because of their ignorance.
Stuff to do with jini, with dealing with non muslims, with magic, asking ridiculous questions like can you have a baby with a jiini.
I heard once someone ask a sheikh what the ruiling was if you go to hajj on the back of a jinni, the shaykh replied ask me again when it happens.

I remember once offering my two cents on intrauterine devices (IUD's) as a very reliable mode of birth control when all of a sudden Helwaa was lecturing me about not corrupting the forum girls and encouraging promiscuity. Soomaalida are very selective about what they prioritize and practice, either through intentional or unintentional ignorance. And we often times mix our cultural norms and the religion, this probably explains why most Somalis jump down anyone's throat that dares to suggest a birth control.

Nabeela yeah that should be the parent's role and even if they were never told surely they could ask them or others or read or google or even go to the sheikh in the mosque, calling in live about certain things is just so madax adeeg
My mom gave me the talk, that was the most embarrassing conversation of my life but she did her job.

I use to be to embarrassed when the sex scenes would come on the tele, I use to quickly change it
Now I don't even watch it alone.
My dad once talked to us about masterbating and the punishments for it
