I don't have a blog sxb, S/net is my only vice. I did consider it though at some point.
Thank you for asking. Are you doing engineering?
I'm 32 by the way and live in Atlanta like Basra said.
You are cool saxib. Keep it up. I want to do engineering inshallah and already have a technical degree. My background is in Electro-Mechanics. My title at work now is oddly "Engineering-Tech". I assist engineers in their design and process, I trouble-shoot and fix the equipments they use in a research lab. I am in the field so hopefully someday I will get the Engineering degree. I take classes at the University as well. One class at a time.

That's great, bro. I always love to talk to a professional or someone doing something constructive with his life. I'm a jack of all trades sort to speak. I finished my under-grad education at least 7 years ago. Dabbled in different fields of employment, including social work and healthcare. Then worked my way up to where I am today. My hope is to branch out to pediatrics someday, but that'll depened on who offers me a slot on their roster in about 2-3 years. Its taken me a liftime to get where I am today, I've always wanted to do something in health, possibly as a result of early exposure to the field. My mother was a nurse when I was a toddler, then slowly worked her way up to becoming a health adminstrator back home. I'm blessed, alxamdulilah. And hope to share the little I've learned with everyone willing to listen.
Best wishes to your studies, inshallah. If I had a fb, I would offer it, but I don't.

Bro, I don't have a facebook, I am oldie like you as you can see from my picture

I am not into social networks, that is for the kids and
Ka darag generation. Healthcare is where the money and job security is saxib, follow it there. Also, what you did is how you will get your education paid, make your way up the ladder and take advantage of opportunities when they come your way. I had my previous degree paid for by the company I used to work, and now my University fees are paid 75% by my current job too. I started as an operator in a hightech company myself and learned everything I know from there, then moved on to a different job using my technical background along with the degree I earned whilst working. It takes time to feel comfortable and make it somehow, that is the story of all immigrants who take advantage of the opportunities they get.

I briefly had a fb account last year and found it too distracting. It also made very little sense to me & found the whole concept awkward. I had the most random people adding me, including this Asian dude in Hong Kong for reasons I still don't know. I closed it in a matter of months. I've been coming & going on S/net. Probably ran to me a few times in the past as Koronto. I guess I'm addicted to my people, as much as I complain about them, I still love them.
I envy you, man. I'm swimming in student loans, there's simply no other way to attend med school in this country. They keep a major cap on the field so as to not inflate the market, so along the way they've set up numerous hurdles including the farce that is the MCAT, panel/committee interviews, prior health experience, and astronomical fees. I of course get minority grants and a school scholarship, but it doesn't make a noticable dent. I'm hoping to pay it off as soon as I am done, before it acrues any interest, maybe in a phased lump sum.
Are you ciyaal Xamar? Warka soo daa.
