Executive, wow you're lucky. You know all these tropical beaches in the caribbean or the far east have never interested me like zanzibar has. Beautiful beaches; close to somalia/somaliland; muslim locals: I mean what more could I ask for. Also I would like to explore the little islands of zanzibar instead of the tourist hotspots.

I don't want a vacation, hassle central, I'll just find a nice place to sit around here and read a book instead of going all the way to some random beach where I don't speak the language, eat food that I'd rather not eat, surround myself with a culture I could do without understanding, buy stuff I will never need...and end up reading a book, that just takes the piss.

I was there last year. I would like to go there again to explore more, I only went to Zanzibar city(didnt like it too much), Mtoni and prison Island which is just off the coast of Zanzibar.

What were u doing there?? family there?

first of all, u wont be ashamed of yourself. Thats a first, u would put on a lovely summer dress, waltz off on your sandles, and go to the local markets where they have different kinds of exotics treats, or fruits. Check out musuems, then have lunch at an expensive restaurant. Then, u go home, take a shower, put on some evening gown, and go out in the night. Maybe broadway theatre if u r in big cities, or go to an elegant open outside concert. Next day, you can check out another exotics restaurants for lunch, go eat something totally different, away from your comfort zone. Go to the beach as you like it-- but dont carry a book. NEVER. Books in vacation is a huge sign of loneliness. I carry books when i go with my brothers to the stadium to watch soccer or football. Yes, i get a lot of stares, but i dont care. At the beach-- you can inquire at the local hotels next to the beach on what is hot and new tonite. Or check online for events. Put on your swim suits and go swimming, incase u dont know how to swim like myself--just flap up the water on the shores. Soak your legs in the shore waters, take some photos with your galfriends, or hubby and pretend you r a happy tourist.


Next day-- you can hit the camping sites. Take your gadgets, your camp bag-- and go fishing or climbing rocks. Go to a wild life zoo--- or then go back to the hotel--order the most expensive exotic meal on the hotel. Go running in the night after eating, and come back to have a hot bath. Next day-- catch the facial spa center--for pampering. go make your nails in the local salon---ask for exotic treats---like in japan--u go to a place where they beat u up and call massage. You hear cracks and quarks of your bones.
