My question: Then why did Puntland design their own flag and not adopt the Somali recognised blue flag?

Puntland designed a flag as a state not as an independent country, at the end its significance is used to symbolise federalism. If you want to examples of federal states look up Texas in the U.S.

My question: Then why did you (and still do) send back Somalis from south Somalia escaping the violence and death?

Firstly i dont agree with the radical and far fetched action which targeted many inocents of people, but I believe the justification was that it was part of antiterrorism measures at a time when insecurity was strife in cities such as Bosaaso. Only the young and male were targeted.
Nevertheless tens of thousands of Southerners continue to live in Puntland without assault or intimidation by the security.

Let me correct you.

1. Germany has federalism, but i dont see different flags over there. Maybe texas has, but maybe its also because texas is the size of Sudan?
2. No i dont buy that over 540 people were sent back because of terrorism. An elderly coupel especially got handcuffed also and deported. That was reported in Articles. But who knows it could be MUCH more elderly deported, the news dont report everything.

My conclusion is that Puntland has been supporting TFG because of CLan all along. I remember when they got mad, when Farmaajo and not their candidate got to be prime minister. I think Puntland was expecting someone from their clan to lead Somalia after sheikh sharif, but now when that might not happen, they are going crazy.

I dissagree that its because of clan, i think that with a Puntlander in a high position in the South. Puntland is in a position where it can have high political leverage, basically take a very strong, demanding, dominant role in Somali political affairs.
With Farmaajo; i feel that their has been much more exclusions. However i vehemently dissagree with the way Faroole reacted, very childish and unprofessional. I think he is a very arrogant man, unable to control himself.

Puntland was in it for the money, with a functioning TFG they have no one to rip off, hence why they are now probably going ahead with their secession which was put on hold by Abdullahi Yusuf.
