The 3 guys that you are talking has been fired by PL at least a year ago. After the one leading them being accused of been involved in the recent killing in Taleex district, he and his crew have taken residence in Hargeisa to avoid those who are after him. So it is not a defection, the guy had to leave the Sool region for good in order to avoid those who are after him after the incident in Soolka Sarmaanyo.
Don't worry one of them is also wanted for another killing, he'll get caught in Hargeisa what goes around come around
Actually, for that incident, it was not him but another guy and that guy is in Boosaaso. You may want to dig deeper into it.
