Re: A Brazilian traveling to Somalia.
Thanks for the replies!
But just the fact that I am a Christian already puts me in danger? I have no intention to convert anyone to Christianity, nor to talk about religion.
"Love your neighbor as yourself"
Believe that, and do not care if my neighbor is black or white, rich or poor, Jew or Buddhist.
Never been poorly received in any place that I traveled. Whenever I've made friends, good friends. Despite never having known the Islamic world. But I doubt it is unwelcome in the land of my ancestors. Much of Africa is my blood, if alive today, is thanks to brave people who lived in these lands.
Despite the western culture imposed on Latin America. Although we are physically similar to Europeans, speaking European languages (Spanish, Portuguese, English or French). Our culture and our blood has remnants Africans.
And I'm not talking about the slaves, who contributed much to our culture, but by the great thinkers, warriors, politicians and teachers blacks who lived in latin america. Contributed to the cuisine, music, literature, medicine and so on.
So I think to be unfitting, a brother of the same blood, not being accepted in his father's house, only for religious reasons.
I saw some photos of the north. I found it magnificent. The sea, the sunsets, beaches.
I need to know that place.
Hugs from a blood brother.

Yes Horn of Africa is the birth place of Africa and some say the world!
You should visit the Horn, where the oldest civilisations and the oldest countries in the world are.

Some consider a sign of honor when they are told, "africa is the motherland" when in all indication such statement means that Africa is were the evolution from monkey to human took place, and human beings subsequently migrated from it leaving behind figures that look similar to apes.

Go to Djibouti, its a small Somali country that has a government by the red sea, its safe and they have a lot of foriegners there.
He didnt say "ceeb" but he said a rude word and S/Net censored it with "Ceeb"

First let me clarify that I don't believe in the creationist theory. Later, I inform you that at no time spoke of monkey or something. I'm Latin American. And here, whether it's blond, red or Indian, you will always have black ancestor.
The Brazil has the largest black population outside Africa colony. We are 200 million people among them, 30 million are blacks.
When I speak of "motherland " because I speak of my ancestors, it has no racist connotation about it.
To tell the truth in the future would love to marry a black/brunette woman. I don't like white women.

Re: A Brazilian traveling to Somalia.
I reccomend you go to galkacyo its very safe
I can take you to the 5 star side of the city were the nicest people around are usually chilling at
south galkacyo would be more safer for you
the local Sacad would gladly be helpful towards you.
Your better off walking down somalia un attended so you dont look to important and wear a cross to show your faith so they know you atleast belive in something
Drkinking in public is common in somalia you should always be by urself when walking home so you dont attract attention
Do not ever smoke a cigarette in the day time You should smoke it at night in alley ways where its more polite and you will meet locals walking around peacefully
BARAXLAy is the safest [art of Galkacyo its where i recommend you to be most part of your time
To also stay on the safe sife i would wear either a Israeli or american so they think your a helper / benefiter
Theres also alot of hyenas in galkacyo so if you ever encounter them dont run away from the pack of hyenas but to run in to them with all these tips you should be fine

Re: A Brazilian traveling to Somalia.
Ahahahaha ....
I hope that the Somalis are as spirited as you. This is humor, right? xD
KingMJ:
Yes, here, there are many shades of black. There are also those who do not have black skin, but blacks have other physical aspects such as nose, hair, mouth. It is not uncommon to see a person with fair skin, but the curly hair. Or someone with brown skin and straight hair.
I do not have dark skin, nor clear. My skin is between a brown and white. As someone from the Mediterranean, which took a lot of sun.
