how do you know one of the camels is pregnant, we have not been told and nor do we have any evidence to suggest as such.

With that same arguement you did not set any constraints so logically it would have also been perfectly fine to slaughter 1 camel and divide the fractions

NO! sxb, the will if the dead father clearly states what are been divided (CAMELS), if you slaughter the camel, then the camel is no more and what you have is MEAT and leather. which would mean the will/wishes of the father has not been carried out. since he has asked that the camels be devided amonsgt his 3 sons and did not the meat or other byproducts of the camels.
There is only that one solution to this particular dilemma.
