The Omani people are great MashaaAllah.. And the beaches are lovely..
But its a bit of a shock when entering the country from the UAE..
How come its shocking? Dangers? Poor?
The wealth difference between the two countries.. The UAE is beyond developed.. Than you enter Oman and BANG the buildings dont go above two storeys.. Its a total different feel..

Lol. Walahi youre right. I was in UAE and Oman in 09. Al ain is city on border before you enter Oman ,once u enter Oman its like you went back 30 years. Its much more traditional and the people are Real, compared to the UAE .What I loved about Oman was, yes it was bit rusty here and there, but the place had character. Never seen friendlier people than Omanis, u wont even feel like a second class citizen whereas in UAE u will definetely feel that.
Egypt. Egypt had always good relationship with Somalia, from the Phoroahs to Ghamal Abdinasir to Mubarak. Somali students use to get their free education from Cairo, Somali sheikhs adopted their madhabs from Egypt sheikhs.
after Egypt, its Saudi Arabia (prophet Muhammed scw, Mecca & Medina, Hajj), Qatar (which has shown considerable concern to the somali issues and civil-war), Dubia (somali business partner) and Yemen (our closest neighbor).
