No djiboutian is allowed there except for the business elites and politicians. They cannot even own land there.

The djiboutians are living decently so they dont need lavish quarters

KingofAwdal already mentioned he owns land there. Besides I don't know why somalis in here believe no djiboutians can live there, in this day and age if you have $$ you can live wherever you like.

Yes but how many Djiboutians own land there? Unless you owned land there before the Qataris and Gulf Arabs took over then maybe. Right now the prices have skyrocketed and the average Djiboutian would never be able to afford it

    @ No Somali's own land or home's there. I Have been there and witnessed it and majority of the Owner's are Somali. Some are even Non Djibouti Native Clan's. Still though it would suck for a permanent Resident of the city to Live in Haramouse because first it was way out of the city which mean's shopping, family, friend's and everyone else is at a far distance from you. Second the Official Resident of the President is not Haramouse but he does stay there alot. Haramouse is being build for the Elite of the country, The Diaspora who have the money to afford it and for the Rich Arab's. Even by Djibouti Standard's some of those Home's are cheap. You can buy some of those Tanned Villas for 150G and the most Expensive one's run to about 500G.

yes i agree with you. Kenya has done more for Somalis than any other African or Arab country. furthermore, what is in Djibouti? they have no resources, their population is small, the weather is harsh and they lack educated manpower. in fact, they recently established their 1st university. the only thing worth mentioning about Djibouti is its strategic location, and next door Ethiopia being a landlocked country. that's probably the only reason why would someone invest in Djibouti.
i rather invest in war-torn Somalia, somaliland or puntland than in Djibouti.

on the contrary, Kenya got everything.
