Had I been born in the US or come at a younger age I would have tried to make a career in the US armed forces ...unfortunately for me , I was already baarixi by the time I got here .

I meet that guy in mpls, Him and a relative of mine was doing some poetry at a Somali independence event. WTF I would have never guessed he served in the US Army

i think that's the only way he can bounce back from this. otherwise people won't forget how he brought out his uniform and army tags all while conveniently standing in front of the u.s. flag.

i don't understand why we (Muslims) have to go through this sort of hassles to please some insane Americans. i got irritated whenever Muslims do that. tell them f*** off SOB. If someone wants to know something about Islam, i say welcome. but if someone comes to me with prejudged conception about Islam or Somalis, i tell them get the hell away from me, dude. i won't apologized for something i didn't do and i won't make excuses either. what they need to know is that i am a victim, too.
