What i find more disturbing is that, so many somali's have basicaly annulled their marriage by telling the system they aint married. They are living a life of zina, which is much worst then stealing money from the system. Imagine a scenario where the welfare guys nock on your door, and when they ask you, your reply is 'This is not my wife we are separted, but i still have kids with her every year'. Its not a suprise to find so many disfunctional somali families when so many of the children are born out of wedlock.

Somali men are so work shy it's so embarrassing wallahi.I suspect that must be because of two factors

Coming from a geelgire nomadic background, moving from place to place not paying any rent, electricity, water bills.

Remittances from family abroad created a dependency syndrome.I think this is a very good move by the Norwegian government however embarrassing it is.

Its the fault of both parents. They are doing this for economic benefit. These men work plus get the benefits of a single parent and having the rent paid for. If they didn't work there would be no benefit of claiming to be separate. The people that got arrested are working men, otherwise the benefit fraud would not work out.

Somali family is a patriarchal family..the women stay at home and focus on the children and the men are supposed to be the breadwinners.Ofcourse this is soon changing with women becoming more educated and thus venturing into the world of employment.Somali husbands on the other hand are proud of their idle lazy geeljire irresponsible ways.

Look at this walahi somali women are changing acting like they r superior to men when u should be looking up to us. There will always be more educated and more breadwinners then women just because some of you r getting loud in the community doesn't mean ur better than us. I heard the story of Somali woman who went to the welfare place and when the gaal at the office tried to shake her hand she said it was against her religion. At the same time she was stating that she needed food and money to pay rents for her kids who she claims that they have different fathers whom she has no idea who he is, because she had one night stand.
