Mucaawiya RA duty to the religion of Islaam is immeasurable. Not even Cali RA discredited his role in establishing and expanding the Islamic empire. All of the major sahaaba made bayca to Mucaawiya, and some of them served in his government, and fought under his leadership. Mucaawiya is an Islamic hero, May Allah SWT bless him and the Umayyad dynasty. No islamic empire did more for Islam than the Umayyads. The shiicas meanwhile were busy attacking the Kabah and stealing the black stone, or allowing the tartars in through the back door to massacre the Muslims.HutuKing01 wrote:This topic was about suufis, yet lovers of muawiyah and yazid manage to turn it into shia discussion.

Some of the questions Hutu has been unable to answered
- Shiicas claim that the imaams are infallible, but yet Xasan ra gave the leadership to Mucaawiya. He gave on his GOD given right to mucaawiya. There are only two explanation to this
1- The concept of imaamah was merely political, and not religious.
2- Xasan was a coward
Cali RA served under the rulership of Abu Bakr, Cumar and uthmaan. He gave his daughter to Cumar, named his kids abu bakr and cumar, served in their governments, fought in their wars, and then when he gained power, he followed the basis they established
2 options
1- Imaamah is not a religious issue, but rather political.
2- Cali was a coward. Allah SWT gave him the leadership, but he didn't even put up a whimper
And since cowardice =/= infallibility, Shiicism either way is smashed.

You associate yourself with people who CURSE the shaykhayn and ummahutul mumineen. I do not curse a single sahabah and diassociate myself from people who curse them (Sahaba cursing eachother is another matter altogether) . So tell me.. who is worse?

Outside of the khulaafu-u rashidiin, the Islamic world has not seen better leadership than the Umayyad dynasty. Their accomlimsphments far outweight anything other Islamic dynasties have done. May Allah SWT bless them.
If one wants to be fair, compare what they did for Islaam to what Shiicas have done? In fact, compare their work to the supposedly God divined imaams (who again, didnt even bother fighting for leadership, but were content preaching)? The umayyads come on top.
This isn't to say that they were perfect. They had their mistakes. But the criticism they receive is unjust. It was during their rule that Islamic law, poetry, art and power expanded.
