This is a joke. Didn´t he get an extension of several years and all of the sudden running for the upcoming election? The TFG lost the battle because they were against the election in August...

^He wanted to extend it by at least a year but couldn't. But the TFP (the parliament) extended their mandate for another 3 years. Not sure how legitimate it was but they were widely criticized. I'm surprised that Sh Sharif has declared himself as a candidate though.
