Walaahi i was about 9/ 10...I nearly drawned couple of times first but soon got the hang of it.

I was thought by an axmaq :lol: who's only tip was, ..by hook or by crook you gonna learn how to swim today.

seemyer that is too long. i would say 1 day, if you scared and slow learned not more than 3 days. each day 1 hour training.
swimming is very tiring, all your mucles will be itching if you're not used to swim. so first 3 days i would say just an hour a day.

Babies can't swim, but they are smart enough not to breath in when they enter the waters but us adults get scared and start breathing automatically as soon when we enter water, case in point fuleyiin baanu nahay and they are not, they stay relaxed lol

Young babies don't breathe in through their mouths so swimming would come "naturally" to them if placed in water.

The rest of us have gotten used to breathing through our mouths when we need air.

waryaa murax it wont take u that much....u remind me about my sudani friend he never touched a water even if we goto islands for vocation and guess what his surname is ALBAHR :lol: :lol:

I need to learn how to swim too. In school i used to hate it so i never turned up for lessons, now i regret it, but feel too embrassed to learn because u only see kids learning in it. However swimming is essentail, u never know when that plane is gonna crush in the ocean and u need to swim for it. :lol:

I used to be a great swimmer when I was little.. Last time I went swimming was many years ago..
I remember these gang of Somali females put me off it.. Swimming in their toobs iyo jilbaabs :|

I'm thinking of going back this summer InshaaAllah :up:
