Bosaaso located next to my birth place Ceerigaabo but I wasn't aware the culture similarity with Osteria and Switzerland "don't talk to strangers".waryaa wrote:Under Somali culture and customs, lies subcultures that can be as different as day and night.
My observations:
Mudug culture looks as if it has been heavily influenced by socialism (we) while Barians are alway (I) like in the capitalist world
In Galkacyo, you have neighbors with great smiles. In Bosaso, you will never know who lives next door to you except seeing them go in/out of the house.
In Galkacyo people fight constantly but have the courage to reconcile. In Bosaso ppl don't get into fights but when they do the conflict will last forever.
In Mudug, a total stranger can come to you and start asking you questions. In Bari, the term "don't talk to strangers" works perfectly.
Galkacyo ppl look very happy - Bosaso: not so.
Galkacyo: poor (like socialist countries) Bosaso rich (typical capitalist city)

Kalkacyo -> Friendly, generous, God Fearing people
