Olive.

I agree with you back in the days most of the singers used to be Isaaq, and Madhibaan. the mooge brothers, Kuluc, sahro Ahmed, Khadra daahir, Nimco yaasiin, Cumar dhuule, Cabdi Tahliil …..etc. and these days Hawiye are catching up . but have you ever seen farxiyo fiska and all these Hawiye singers talking live, they totally have different accent than they sing “xaa tiri, aaw ahaay, aa qumaayey, xoow u raacdeehaa” the reason their songs are universal and every Somali listens is because the songs they sing are created Abwaans like Hadraawi, Sangub and Maxamed Cali, and Ilkojiir that are not Hawiye

AbdiWahab.

What happened to Hawiye accent these days I don’t heard it any more the word XAA TIRI, UNUKAA LEH all the Somali media I listen or I watch the BBC, VOA, Universal TV, Somali Channel ,Radio Muqdisho. even Hawiye owned Media like Radio shabelle they are either imitating the Qaldaan accent or the Jaberti one, I think the Kacaan Had only one single success on Hawiye Brothers, transforming them linguistically

Happy weekend and kaftan wacan
