i am sadden to hear the bad news coming out from Yemen and i wonder if we will ever learn from past and present experiences of what violence and lack of rule of law can lead into. obviously this guy (ali abdalla) is petrified about what could happen to him once he relinguishs power and even though the recent agreement he refused to sign was included impunity for him and his family, he still thinks everybody is out there to get him. because of this, as he put it, he would do "everything" he could not to vacate office with little, if any, regards for the welfare of the country and the people.

some people would do everything to protect their own skin and, again and again, we have been tested with such selfish, brutal and tyrant leaders.

they don't have to look further, just next door is Somalia. and the condition in Somalia, miserable, heartbreaking, you name it.

may Allah prevent violence outbreak in Yemen and any other Muslim country, insha Allah. ameen.

i don't want to be judgmental but i can't stop thinking how could someone wish another human being for destruction unless this person himself has blood on his hands, meaning he must have commit such heinous crime himself before.

because for a lot people it is not logical to wish someone for destruction even if you don't like them for whatever reason. and it is a basic human nature to feel empathy for other human beings in bad situations.
