Puntland and somaliland interests lie with the Ethiopia. We need to remember where SNM and SSDF core interests lie and who our enemies are.

One thing somalilanders absolutely dread is strong central government in muqdisho and who ever they hate the most must be doing something right

i don't know when these brain dead reer koonfur will understand that the problem is not about individuals and personalities but about the institiution called TFG that was originally disigned in way that will make any government to succeed and rule the country imposible. the thing that need to be changed is not about shariif sakin and other alligedly corupt individuals but the system itself. waa in laga bilaabo in laga doodo munaasibnimada nidaamkan TFG ee siinaya madaxweynaha, raysal wasaaraha iyo raysal baarlamaanka awoodo baaxad ahaan aad igu dhow, taas oo markasta keenta in kala duwaansha ugu yar ee soo dhex gala golaha xukuumadu uu noqdo caqab wayn oo loo maaro waayo, sababta oo ah madaxweynaha iyo raysal wasaaruhu midna ma laha awood uu go'aankiisa ku meel marin karo. 500 iyo dheeraad xilibaan oo lagu keenay nidaam loogu yeedhay 4.5 iyo dawlad laga rabo wax walba inay ku dhisto 4.5 ninka rajaynaha in xal lugu keeni karo, waa nin riyoonaya waxaanan kula talin lahaa in uu sida ugu dhakhsaha badan uga soo kaco riyadaa.

He's also once, was rumoured to have said he was installing a water treatment plant for HargeisaSahanGalbeed wrote:I knew the guy was literally a joke the day he said " I will get rid of al shabaab in 90 days "
To which Faroole replied "That's like when Afwayne said on the radio "There's a football match on at Hargiesa stadium today"
This in August 1988 at the height of the SNM war
He seems very popular though so he must be doing something righ

Re: If Shariff Sakiin & Sheikh Shariff pull this off...
I don't understand why our Isaaq brothers are so hateful. Farmaajo from everything we have seen including Dr Yalaxoow's phone call to Mogadishu is the most popular Somali public figure seen in Mogadishu and southern Somalia since Aabe Siyaad. Why would Odayaasha Beesha Hawiye support a Marehan son of the Kacaan against the Hawiye president if this man had not won them over? Why would the Hawiye greeters of the plane on Mogadishu airport hold up signs of Farmaajo in front of the Hawiye president and the Hawiye mothers and people be on BBC and VOA saying the Kacaan Marehan boy is our president and not the Hawiye man sitting in the seat if this guy had not won them over?
These people have seen Gheedi, Abdullahi Yusuf, Cumar Abdirashiid, Nuur Cadde and all the way up to 1991 but no one has captured reer Mogadishu's imagination since then this guy. You can damn bet he is doing something right. If Farmaajo leaves, corruption and the status quo has succeeded and these people realize it.

Re: If Shariff Sakiin & Sheikh Shariff pull this off...
Voltage and everyone is assuming that somehow Hawiye had a built-in hatred for Marehan. That's a myth, a generalization. Hawiye, as well as an assortment of other bitter races, hate Majerteen and Majerteen alone; this has been confused as Darood-hate when that is not true. This is evidenced in all forms. In the wake of the civil war, many people were xasuuq'd by USC militias, but MJ houses were the first to be looted and MJs the first to be killed and chased, by both Jees & Caydiid's people. Our Khatlander comrades as well rail on day after day about "Afweyne" but their hate for Marehan is negligible compared to their frightening stalker-level obsession and hatred of MJs. for whatever reasons not known to me. GSNM cracked that myth open wide not long ago. Even if, in reality, which may even be the case, Marehan did xasuuq these people in the past, all of that is forgotten when the myth of the MJ boogyman rears its head. Somali politics and how enmity is distributed towards one clan has taught me that "haters-gonna-hate" is very real and apparently has no real cause, its just built-in with some people.
So, the fact that Farmaajo receives love in Xamar is nothing special, he is viewed in a clan-blind way. He is just like an Ogaden or a Dir in Xamar, everyone feels neutral about him and can warm up to him. However, an MJ messiah can walk through Xamar and he'd be pelted with rocks. Once again, lets not confuse where the bitterness among reer Muqdisho is directed, for no other reason than haters-gonna-hate syndrome.
