Well there are lots of people who invested alot in that city only to found out that they don't 'belong' there, so how can you blame them for investing in their dusty clan villages now.

Mogadishu=Somalia. You stablize Xamar, you stabllize Somalia. Tuulos like Galkacyo (yes, my family is from this god forsaken city) and Garoowe don't come close.

learn about your country: part xxi

Qardho:
population: 40 - 60k
location: between two mountains and two large valleys (very beautiful landscape)
weather: the coolest place in Puntland. Elders have to warm up their morning ablution water.
economy: very poor (second largest recipient of remittance from abroad, next to Burtinle)
yearly homicide: 0

xamar right now is sheiza, but once she gets herself in order, she will be hard to resist,..its no soo much as the city itself , its more like the status she has, quality name for several centuries starting with the ajuuraan plus the entire somalia budget from 50's till the 90's has gone into..not only that it has a serious location in terms of natural beauty, perfect weather and its the perfect spot to make money like no other, because she will start from scratch with the entire hawiya population coming back since they have not many places to go to.. trust me no matter how you dislike the south there is no city that can compete with xamar in the entire east africa.. have my head quarters and family in bosasso and eventually retire there... the day xamar is back on the map...and i'll shoot like a arrow to get the best devalued prices on the hottest commercial properties ...business has no qabiil, and no city can compete with mogadishu with gaalkacyo coming in a distant 2nd because of the location it she has and nothing ells

where do you get your "facts" from? a few weeks ago you were claiming that bosaso becomes a ghost town in the summer because of the heat, when the truth is that the port is less active during that period ( due to rough seas) and schools out, so the women and children leave the city to visit relatives elsewhere whilst most of the men stay in bosaso. now you're here claiming that qardho is poor and the people there are second largest recipients of remittance, next to burtinle and the that yearly homicides are zero. :? it seems like you're the one who needs to "learn about your country"... or maybe you're trolling but who trolls their own forum? :?

actually i agree with WARYAA up to a certain level...
qardho is definitely one of the poorer communities in puntland
population is about right
location is spot on
weather is the best in puntland with carmo coming a close second
yearly homicide is very low in comparison with 60 -70k regions in somalia..

bosasso during the summer is less populated not because of your silly theory but simply because of the heath..its unbearable for some people
