The sahaba lost battles and they altimately got back. They did not fall part. They lost as one. and they would come back as one. They can reshuffle their soldiers anytime they want. They would still come back because they are the same people with the same message. Guusha allah' ayaa bixiyo. but the ayah says, allaa ina xisbulaahi humul faaizuun. The allah's group would succeed in the long run.
