If I was in Congress I would have voted to take Gaddafi out too. Nobleman ku lahaa this is why I don't vote for Muslim politicians. So the Muslims about to be massacred in Benghazi have a less claim to life than Gaddafi's mercenary army? Indha la'aa dadkaa.

Ghaddafi has the blood of hundreds of thousands of Muslims and non-muslims on his hand and his oppression against his own people should be powerful enough moral incentive to destroy him and the immoral regime he heads. The NATO Campaign in Libya is strictly meant to topple his regime. Only a fool like you would consider it a war against MuslimsSkippa wrote:What foolishness...Primo, the Bill that he voted for does not call for "the toppling of the brutal dictator"; Secundo, The righteousness and the rightfulness of an act is not determined by its end result. You are comparing different situations and frankly I don't even think you are inherently capable of making a rational analysis of any given situation; so asking your input in this matter is highly futile and a very waste of time.seemeyer wrote:^

Here comes uncle ruckus,
Sure it's a different situation.
Israel launched a massive air bombing campaign against alleged Hamas targets.
Libya launched massive air bombing campaign against alleged Rebel targets
Israel has killed an unacceptable number of civilians in Gaza
Libya has killed an unaccepltible number of civilians in Ben Ghazi

Seemeyer i dont understand why muslims allow ragtag rebels to take over a goverment.
Ghaddafi is the ruler and the West has no right to depose him. They went into Iraq Afghanistan and now Libya. Its always Muslim nations.

Re: I met Congressman Keith Ellison at Jummah
Tortuous logic, No need to go back and forth pointlessly, you believe that the end justifies whatever means to reach it. I happen to disagree. Set aside the grandstanding and focus on what's important here ; Mr. Ellison, a seemingly pious muslim man votes for America's continued involvement in Libya, this is a fact. Innocent muslims lives have been lost in the conflict, another fact. Many more innocent muslim lives may perish as this campaign goes on: a near certainty. Everything else is either speculations, conjectures or matters that are up for interpretation and irrelevant to the issue at hand. The question is, how can Mr. Ellison, an adherent of a faith in Islam which frowns upon the killing of the innocent, even and particularly in times of war, and cognizant of the facts stated above, justify his support for this bill. It's a rhetorical question but if an answer is to be had, I say he can't.

NATO is involved because Ghaddafi is using brute force to crack down on the voices of his people. As a Muslim, you should be supporting any effort meant to bring down the reigns of these despotic and brutal dictators. But you are not; because you are driven by a very twisted and retarded understanding of justice. It is moral and an obligation both religiously speaking and politically speaking to support the Libyan masses in their struggle against oppression. Rep Ellison voted to bring down the Ghaddafi thug regime and he should be hailed for his decision.

Your understanding of Just War is none-existent

would make its forces a bunch of Mujahideensan obligation...religiously speaking

I'm just about bored with this little buryo measuring contest that passes for a battle of wits. A good night to you brother

Skippa wrote:I see that you're besides yourself but there's no need to throw a fit brother, From what I understood of your little rant about justice, you're saying that the innocent life lost in Tripoli this past week from Nato's bombardment was to save the one that Qaddaffi may have killed (had Nato not intervened) or is it to atone for the countless ones he took over the past forty years. A just war is synonymous with jihaad. Therefore, Nato's campaign in Libya being
