There could be many other reasons as to why majority of Reer Hargeisa dislike Og's such as ONLF targettings of Habar Awal, Arab & Garhajis trucks in the hawd, targetting of nomads etc.

Somali clan Meetings in the west in general does not equate to big outcomes unless of course it's for fundraising & other important purposes. Thus meetings orchestrated on the ground are more effective as most of the influential elders and people who are head of the clans live in backhome.

Nobody is stopping Hj from having more shirs frequently if they want. Thus that petty childish comparisons of who has more shirs is getting lame.

As you can see from the program, it was a neccesary shir with it's main points being the severe drough and buurmadow. This is the problem, I don't care about the amount of shira being held, I do care when all these shirs are just a community gathering. I don't want to hold more frequent shirs, these are only neccesary if it is extremely important and action has to take place, a fundraiser for example. That's all.
