BTW you can get damar by just drinking a couple of times. I know this girl who went there on holiday when she was still a child , her milk teeth came out while she was there and the new ones started showing signs of damar.
I think that is to do with lack of some vitamins or something like that.
As for the teeth yeah as long you drink it until your milk teeth drops out and new ones grow you will get red/stained teeth.

There are two kinds of teeth discoloration;

1. One is caused by the minerals present in the water they drink. This is called magar and long time ago it was seen as a beauty..This kind of discoloration looks like crystal tea it does not look like tartar or huuro.
2. other is caused by antibiotics they take when they were younger and this kind looks like the person never cleaned his/her teeth :down:

Teeth is a beauty when they are very very white... :up:

Cumar it could be because of lack of vitamins actually.I always thought it was siigada that was blowing around. I was wondering if the white colour of the eyes could be restored?atleast ilkaha they can whiten them or put on veneers like most celebrities.

p.s. Keyse, the level of fluoride present in northern Somalia's ground water source are not all at the same level and judging from experience folks from Berbera it seems have higher levels tooth discoloration then say folks from Bosaso.
It doesn't have anything to do with the levels of fluoride in the water, if anything fluoride strengthens the teeth and helps it from tooth decay.

I'm thinking it has something to do with the minerals, it is inorganic elements that come from the soil and water minerals which are present in the waters of Somalia, in some areas of the country have a higher levels of minerals in it that causes the redding of the teeth after a process of yrs of drinking it.
