I don't remember much of what was happening at the time but I used to hear my dad talking about the USC, after they looted everything from him, they would come to our house everytime they kill someone in the neighborhood and ask my dad to bury the body. dad duugow leen Xamar ooga soo roori aas yiri. We came to Marka and proceeded to Kismaayo where we took a boat and landed in Mombasa. My dad and some other men established a camp seperate from Utange called banaadiri. apart from the dhuudhi, it was ok and life was good. Then in 1995, the US accepted all Banaadiri people as vulnerable minority and offered a mass resettlement to the USA.

Wallahi somalis are un-patriotic, while people were suffering in Northern Somalia ( 1988) we were wacthing movies and having fun at the beach in Mogadishu.... I remember many people from nort coming into Mogadishu in 1988-89.... they were very angry.... today Hargeysa is in peace while reer mogadishu is living as refugees in nothern towns.
