Bullshit! I've been to Puntland this past summer, 3 f-king hole months. Even with my close to 1000 dollars Sony HD camera/video recorder on hand I never felt any danger their Alhamdulillah and enjoyed every minute.

One of the many out of this world beaches found in Puntland and this one happens to be in Bosaso.

And one of the many Bosaso busy Streets I came across

These are just some of the many pictures from my trip there. If you haven't been to the place then damn it, quit ruining it for everyone else with the hearsay. Its beaches are pleasant to swim in and its air among the cleanest in the world. I hope those of you who hasn't gone back can go; I guarantee your jaws will drop!

^With 10,000 dollars you could've bought propriety the length of a football stadium and now that won't even buy you a plot of land big enough to build a 5 bedroom house in any of Puntland's major cities. With out a doubt, just as those who were smart enough to invest in the states booming real-estate, the state has huge potential in all sectors, tourism, etc.

To answer your question though, the ongoing anarchy in the rest of Somalia has scared potential investors in investing in Puntland's young booming economy, very unfortunate to say the least.

Puntland has to start a campaign in the western world where they inform people about how safe and wonderful puntland is, the world must have knowledge about Puntland, from the beaches in Bari to the wild life in Mudug, Puntland has unlimited possibilities......... just think about the millions of dollars darood people have invested across Africa, they should rather invest in Puntlands industry and create themself a secure home, I convinced many familiy members to invest in puntland rather than Uganda and south africa.
