I noticed something about these inquisitive non-somali members, they always ask controversial questions and about 80% of the time would receive good replies but they would rather form their opinion on the bad apples and totally disregard the rest. I sometimes look at snet from the perspective of a non-somali and I honestly dont see the fuss besides the 2 or 3 members.

The majority here are respectful people who don't look down on Oromo or Bantu. The ones that do are well known, mostly children with such a fragile selfesteem even though they look bantu themselves want to attach themselves to white people. Internet is one weird place that's for sure.

St8OuttaDirree, I am not sure about that. I was there for a while and didnt experience any hostility or negative views from the locals. Besides if Oromos were the majority and Somalis minority, it would probably have the same outcome.

I live in Minnesota - and quite frankly no one knows who the fuck Oromos are.

You guys can number 500,000 and people would still assume you're Somali or entirely forget about you. You guys are in the same communities and circles as Somalis - how have you branched out differently? If Somalis get into crime you're right there, if Somalis become extremists you're right there, and if Somalis open a store you're right there - always following. The only difference is that Somalis have their bad apples but they also run businesses, hold political office and sway political opinion while taking a chunk of the American dream for themselves - as they've done in Kenya, in Dubai, and wherever opportunities presents themselves - meanwhile Oromo are spectators in life. Its hard to compare the ball players to the spectators who watch, and the spectator can't judge the ball player for missing a goal that the spectator never had the guts to try for.

I have nothing against Oromos, I like them plenty and never in my life met one I disliked. But you are not Somalis by any stretch. Somalis are an international brand, whether good or bad, but they make their mark, and that's what life is about. Half the time they're hated, the other half they're envied - no one has ever had neutral feelings about Somalis. If they aren't a thorn to the same Ethiopian regime that 40 million Oromos can't scare then they're shaking the economics of East African giants. Again, a spectator can't judge a ball player's performance.

No one in this world is superior or inferior then anyone else, everyone has his and her strengths and weaknesses, kurki just a hater..
Honestly to me i see Somalis hating everone that aint somali, and everything past Somali borders, damn y'all hate amongst yourselves. Some people gotta learn how to love and respect others, their works and ideologies. All the negativity is somewhat keeping Somalis behind in my opinion, if that were to change, there wouldn't be a shock if you were the top nation in the Horn.
