I think wanting to let everyone know what you think is the opposite of not caring.
In search of acceptance, of the most honest kind? "this is me, accept it"? That's fine, just know that it doesn't always work to your advantage, being a douche.

I have been doing the same thing for the past year God, I sometimes scare the funk out of myself because I was humble, and always a v.helpful individual. I guess its life it teaches you to toughen up some recent experiences turned me into a monster. Has anything changed in your life? I became brutally honest and speak my mind without even thinking about others:/ which at times under some circumstances is not good at all.
Everyone who knows me says I became quite the biyach..oh well...

Ummmmm you totally didn't get my point.
I don't like sugar coating things to people, I dont want to tell them what they want to hear because that would be LYING no?

But don't you love the feeling though? I don't feel guilty anymore because I'm telling people how it's supposed to be.

there's a fine line between lying and sugar coating and completely crushing them no?

idol,
But to give your opinion, even when unwanted? That's a bit much. There's sugar coating, telling it how it is, and just being rude about your method. I'm not sure which you're leaning toward right now, but if you're walking around being an a-hole critic to random folks, I unnno, seems like a bit much to me. But even if that's not what you're doing, if you really didn't care, the thought to say anything wouldn't occur. You wouldn't even be phased by their comments/actions. You wouldn't think to even recognize what's occurring around you. But you're seeming to describe the opposite.

Sometimes,it is better for everyone if u dont say anything compared to saying the truth.Silence doesnt mean u r weak or being fearful. There are times that u have no choice but be brutally honest and others not so much.
Then again,it is individual based.I might be more inclined to poke some random unwanted opinions on my siblings but that too has limits,i wouldnt say anything to hurt their feelings.

Alpha- Nope, I feel like everyone wishes they had someone to tell them what's good for them and bad for them, they might react differently but I KNOW deep down they appreciate it.

I'm not doing this to hurt their feelings, this world can't function if everyone is sweet.
Tough love

idol,
So your assumption is, they are seeking your opinion regardless of voicing their want for it? That ain't a little egotistical? Isn't that just what I've said earlier? To walk around hoping everyone/anyone wants to know what you think? I still see it as such. And again, being a douche will only hurt in the long run. When there's no one left to hear your unwanted, unsweetened critiques, what then?

"People who are brutally honest get more satisfaction out of the brutality than out of the honesty." Richard J. Needham
The fun in being brutally honest is presenting it across in diplomatic way. Trying to be brutally honest and not caring if the other person gets hurt is not cool thing. You even went too far in the op by saying “even if they don’t ask for my opinion”. It is all about tactic and diplomacy, unfortunately some people don’t possess the social or language skills to use it.
Are you brutally honest to yourself? as in feed the meter, when there is not traffic cop in sight? e.t.c before you become brutally honest with others ( when it is not even needed/necessary in your case)?

Being brutally honest can realy hurt other pples feelings, i know what i'm talking about cus i used to be one.Even lying to ur husband is xalaal, do you know that?
Sometimes it's better to keep ur mouth shut, once you said it you can never take it back so choose ur victims wisly.
Most pple rather live in denial then hear the truth so let them be.
