Murax, just follow your mother's advice. Speak when spoken to. Put your two sense every now and then and everything's OK!

Congrats tootsie! I hope you have a memorable guur and a long lasting marriage. It's kinda easier being the girl I guess lol.

dadka salan and shut up for the rest of the event. Your only job is to say asalaama alaikum, shake hands and be there. Your delegation will do all the real talking.

It pretty interesting though, older Somali men, have a way with words

Meher is Islamic, and is a must. The party is all cultural. I'm not sure about the sooryo

Congrats bro, Ilaahay Ha Kuu Barakeeyo.

Walaashay baa la soo doontay recently, and all my brother-in-law did was give his Salams when he came and sat down and smiled occassionally. You know Soomaali odeyaal love the sound of their own voice so just let them do what they enjoy doing and just stay under the radar.

I agree, parents are making it way too difficult for the youth to get married but then complain about their daughters getting ran through by madows.

Mambruuk. brother this is number one rule don’t talk too much just smile and make an eye contact with the person speaking and nod your head as a gesture of agreeing with him, good luck the weatherman is predicting a heat wave in Virginia and DC area this weekend.

Qoraxeey… I know why murax didn’t want to release this news at the spg room first, cause you guys going to ask him a lot of personal questions, I am guessing the girl is Egyptian if not Eritrean, Murax is known to shop around outside of the neighborhood

Shirib……. only the nikaax is allowed under islam Sooryo and all other money paid is cultural thing
