As far as the Cannon, I kinda fell in love with it but I wanted to get it from the actual stores without Ebay or any middle man. That camera takes BOMB ass pics and videos. I've recorded get togethers with that camera and it's crazy that he paid 200+change for it. As a matter of fact, my cousin got married this summer and I borrowed that camera to record videos, that's how good it was. I have a cannon camera too but it's not a 5D.
Cannon,
Ciyaal, if you look REALLY hard you'll find it.That camera is really not that cheap you know. If you want to sign up for the class, get the camera first.
I personally don't trust Ebay.
Yeah, I bought few things (not expensive stuff though; couldn't gamble) but for that camera for that money, I am sure it had some issues 'cause a functioning second-hand Canon 5D mark II sells over a grand like a hot cake. It's one of the most respected pro cameras out there that shoot superb Full HD videos.

It depends. If it's a used thing (and you have to always read the comments the seller puts there) most of the time, no.
If you're buying a brand new stuff from a known seller (like stores etc) then they have to.
The best thing for you to do is first read the eBay
Policy,
User Agreements &
Customer Support etc to familiarize yourself how it works.
Once you decide to buy something, make sure to check how many stars the seller has as well as the feedback former buyers gave the seller. Very important!
And most importantly, I would advice you first to buy something small as a practice and learning how buying stuff from eBay works.
