ChiefAaqil your talking about those few warsangeli families that lived there before the civil wars. They mostly fled the city when the former Somalia government was destroyed.

Burco is fast becoming a city on its own right. However, it is also too fertile for planting etc. Whilst berbera's hostile climate will mean it best course is to build it up.

In my opinion, it would then leave other towns where the indigenous people live quieter, less pollution and quality of life better. Places like gabiley also need this.

Burco is a dusty place in the middle of nowhere, what would be the advantage of having that as a capital? Berbera is hot but is situated by the sea so the sea-breeze would help to cool you down. Why are you all complaining about a little heat? Ma dumar bad tihiin?

Khalid, Do you know Sheikh is predominately inhabited by Habar Younis. It isn't mixed and I don't think it can be a city either not by a long shot

Because historically Burco used to be the Commercial center of the country. It had a very important role for livestock, some even previously say it was the most important city.
But for reasons such as weather e.g. dangerous sandstorms, Hargeisa became the more important and is the city where the government historically resides.

Sheikh is a beautiful city as well where my awoowe is from
