This is a question to those who hail from the Ogaden,

Would you accept a deal in which the region would be an autonomous region in Ethiopia. In which, you decide taxation, name of the region, flag, justice system, security, immigration and most other state issues. The only difference is you pay federal income tax and don’t have a separate army. However, are consulted with all major military and economic decisions.

I am not talking about this current government, but a fair democratically elected government in Ethiopia in the future,

The ultimate goal is self determination, the people must be given the choice to re-write the wrong of the past.Ethiopia is a collection of peoples forcibly brought together, the very concept of a so called Ethiopian state must be challenged and whatever fills the vacuum should be one of mutual understanding and free will.

For ONLF the crucial question is in my opinion the end goal of their struggle!
What will be the surviving rate of a country surrounded by one side an angry revanchist 100 million hungry peasants strong ethiopia and on the other side
by masters of chaos who will jump and devore it the second it becomes independant?
Besides Ogaden clan has always been in war with every of its neighbours...cheating one, stealing from other , enslaving their friends ...etc..they do not have sympathy from no one.
They are betting on chaos that will befell on Ethiopia...that wont help them either they are only 50% of that vast land...
They are in political stalemate...may God give them the wisdom to come up with a genious solution

The only solution I see is grab a port in Somalia and make strategic alliance with Oromos and not like the one in the 1850s
