Gaddafi has quite vocal about Africa and has generally been more pro-Africa than his north African Maghreb Arab buddies.

What is happening in Libya now will also happen in Venezuela soon I believe.

The rebels will splinter like the USC, Qaddafi will do Maxamed Siyad and fight destroying Tripoli, and Libya will become another Somalia except with lots of oil cash.
