Somalis are tall on average. I've started to observe Somalis' height and I've seen tons of males who are 6'0 or above. More than the usual.

Union i'm sure you have someone tall in your family,most of my kin the eldest brother tends to be abour 6ft-6ft2 i assume average height at 5'11-6ft4

I would say the average Somali height is 5'11 or 6 ft for guys. I see plenty of Somalis above 6'2 but rarely do I see an Ethiopian above 6' ft.

Less than 0.7% of U.S women are 5'10 or above.
Less than 4% of U.S men are 6'2 or above.

From what I have observed, Somalis in the U.S are not any taller than other Americans. And in Somalia, I can only assume years of war and malnutrition have taken their toll in the height department.

The regions you mentioned may not have an active war going on, but they're still very very poor just like the South. Also khat usage is high in those areas which may have an adverse effect on height.

Average Somali female height = 165cm



So our women are same height as Indian and North Korean men.
