The reason I recommended Sudan is due to the distance as well as the traditional palm trees that are notably the kind we eat in Muslim countries and are amongst the best. However, each species will have its use and purpose.
Certainly without the government approving planning, a business man may find it difficult to plant in some areas.
Illegal homes built in the middle of the road or too close to the sideways can be demolished to make spacing for future paved roads and plantations. You are right the Sudanese Date Palm type are among the best and also good quality.
