Well true, I doubt anyone in the meeting shed a tear for either Sheikh Sharif or Sharif Hassan and to be honest a lot of people do support American involvement in Somalia.
All i am going to say to you is dont be blinded by your hate for these two as they will go but if the next two happen to be to your favour...
NOT MY BUSINESS

They picked Akanni up one morning
Beat him soft like clay
And stuffed him down the belly
Of a waiting jeep.

What business of mine is it
So long they don’t take the yam
From my savouring mouth?

They came one night
Booted the whole house awake
And dragged Danladi out,
Then off to a lengthy absence.

What business of mine is it
So long they don’t take the yam
From my savouring mouth?

Chinwe went to work one day
Only to find her job was gone:
No query, no warning, no probe -
Just one neat sack for a stainless record.

What business of mine is it
So long they don’t take the yam
From my savouring mouth?

And then one evening
As I sat down to eat my yam
A knock on the door froze my hungry hand.

The jeep was waiting on my bewildered lawn
Waiting, waiting in its usual silence.

100% agree. The international community made the TFG, they need to fix it. I don't understand the people crying for Sharif Sakin and Sheikh Sharif under the guise of fighting "interference". What is more interference than the whole appointment of Sheikh Sharif?

Voltage,

The political situation that let to Sharif's election are entirely different than today. The West & International Community believed that he was the best man to defeat the Islamist and nullify their extremist agenda as he personally previously led them. After 2 years, the extremists are divided and at their weakest point since their formation and what's more the public support is with the government. These were the key objectives of the International Community.

What matters is, is Sh Sharif delievering and the answer is yes. He did with 9000 AMISOM troops what 100,000 NATO troops couldnt in Afghanistan and he did so in 2 years. As it stands my bet is with him getting re-elected but time will tell. August 2012 is not too far away after-all

What is definitely going to happen is a very strong 'Federalism' agenda being pursued in the South. It wouldn't suprise me if by '12 there are 2 or more Federal Administrations that are 100% backed by the West.

For the first time mogadisho is in the hands of one authority.

The_Emperior5,

You are right. The political solutions will be determined by the security situation.

Roving, according to the principal US foreign policy maker for east africa, Sheikh Sharif won't even qualify to run. He will not meet the conditions to become a member of the future administration. I know you personally support Shiekh Sharif lately but between your clan cafe talks and the principal US foreign policy maker for the region I would rather believe the latter.

Emperior, this out of your league.

War ninyahow, we both know that even if Sh Sharif leaves, the chances of Mudulood president or Prime Minister is 100% granted, so quit this silly talk. Adiga, you still have some bitter taste from the Farmaajo debacle. Give it sometime, you will heal

Roving, this topic is about me relaying what the principal US foreign policy maker for our region told a large Somali audience; namely the president, speaker of parliament, and most of the parliamentarians will not be able to fullfill the conditions required to continue membership in Somali governance.

I welcome this good news. If we can get Hawiye versions of Farmaajo and Gaas to complement our honest politicians, sheekadii maxaaba ka harey.
