Re: Iran sends satellite into orbit
Iran is a pro-science country. Starting from the 5th grade, Iranian pupils are mandated by the Ministry of Education to be taught the theory evolution on Earth and are also taught to respect and value scientific knowledge derived through the scientific method. In contrast, pupils in nearby Saudi Arabia are taught
“science” with a religious twist, while evolution and real science are casually slandered and dismissed as “western”. But this is to be expected, as Iran has always been at the vanguard of civilization while Arabia has always been a backwater, made relevant only by the rise of ISLAM. Saudis need to realize that religion is meant to explain the why, not the how.

Iran is a Shiica nation. They believe in a fictional 12th Imam called Muhammad ibn Hasan, who is the supposed Mahdi. This Imaam went into hiding at the age of 5 apparently, and they say he went into some cave in Samurra, although this is unverified.
You see where the joke fits in?
Now kindly move along you dimwit and stop waisting my time.
Who care what the shias believe in, most Muslims believe in the Al-Mahdi, I'm just saying don't joke about the actual character, regardless of who Iran claims it to be.

Re: Iran sends satellite into orbit
Muhammad ibn Hasan al mahdi does not exist you little dhoocil. Just because he shares similar name to the real mahdi, doesn't mean shit. Can i not make fun of Elijah Muhammad? You are an annoying person and deserve a kick in the face.

Who the hell is talking about a deceased person? you're arguing over something I wasn't even mentioning, could care less honestly if they thought a cow was their savior. Simply owning your bitch ass with ignorant statements that don't make sense is easy but that's besides the point I'm trying to make.
DON'T MAKE FUN OF THE AL-MAHDI, MA FAHAMTEY?
Khalaas, I'm out, and as for you, get a new brain.

Udun,
For a nation with great resources (Oil& Gas) and which inherited a strong educated populace, the Iranian gang that currently rules that country has systematically screwed and placed Iran in a very dangerous position. Throughout the 90s, Iran had an ample opportunity to modernize and develop their military; instead, because of their laughable Persian Pride, they turned Russian offers to buy weapons & sat through that entire decade. The current comic theatrics of the Mullah to celebrate the re-painting of American F-5 fighter jets and North Korean No-Dong Missiles as a great technological achievement shows the backward mentality of Iranian leadership. Making a satellite, especially the small scale one that Iran is boosting about is nothing glorious. Throughout the world, local college students make similar products.
Iran is held hostage by a gang of mullahs whose survival depends on misinformation and sensationalism. This is why they have to claim that they invented a technology that can correctly alter the trajectory of the enemy missile. It's these sorts of bombastic claims that makes Iran the laughing stock of the world.

Melo, the Sunnis can diss the Shia theology and ridicule the hidden imam; however, when we look at the military and technological progress of Iran, it is clear they are way ahead most of the Sunni states, excluding Pakistan in terms of technoilogy and military progress. I mean look at Saudi Arabia, that is a country that is full of perversion and backwardness, yet many Sunnis refer to them as their theologians. While Mohamed Binu Abdiwahab (may Allah be pleased with him) have conducted Islamic reform and rejected many innovations, his adherents have failed big time that they have became every thing that is wrong with Sunni world today.melo wrote:This satelite hopes to discover the whereabouts of the 12th imaam, Muhammad al mahdi AS. After over a 1000 years of being secluded from civlisation, Inshallah he is sane.
In my view, Sunni Islam needs to co-opt fellow Shia Muslims and approach it properly where we think Shia Islam has gotten wrong per religious prespective. At the end of the day, Shia Muslims are much closer to us than the Christians and Jews. Let us get real, Sunni world have failed themselves when you look at every angle on what is wrong Muslims today. Just look at the situation of Palestinians, Libyans, Iraqis, Somalis, and the approach of Sunni religious and political establishment.
