Actually, I don't see Faqash as an insult. Despite the fact that it's used by the iidoor strictly on the Daaroods, it has no significant effect on any Daarood. Ciyaal, let's call you guys Suldaanada Duubka Cad and let's call the Daaroods, Boqoriintii Dhulka Hantaday !

Faqash doesn't bother me as much. I Think it is about damn time to stop using of the term "dhabayaco." The word are coined by certain people and we all know who. This is a converstation I had with this old qaldan dude the other day

Man: "Dee qolmeed tahay"
Me: (Shocked) "Majeerteen"
Man: "haa! Maa Dhabayaco ayaad ahayd"
Me: (pissed off) "hooyada uu sheeg"
Man: "Naa maxaad igu tidhi"
Me: Didn't respond. Just walked away.

If you are going to call me that, pray to god it is in the cyber world. If you would have said that to me in real life, I garantee you, that would have been the last thing you ever said. :|
Yeah but you walked off and didn't do anything to him :|

Dhabayaco doesnt even make sense.

Seriously you dont find Faqash offensive?

^^

He was old man, 60 years old or something. What should I have done to him. I mean, if you are around my age or a little bit older, careful what you say to me.

I don't find faqash offensive at all, why should I? It is not a bad thing. Siyad Barre's soldiers, who by the way was from every Somali clan, was called Faqash. However, the term dhabayaco, is just stupid..

Faqash means murderer and mooryaan all in one, because the soldiers would also steal peoples belongings when they fled. Its nasty.

And? :? Why should I be offended, as a Darood person, When in fact the soldiers "faqash" was from every Somali clan? Why should I be offended when their is Faqash idoor, Faqash Hawiye and faqash rahanweyn?

Moryaan to me is worse than Faqash.
