You are right that America Somalis seem to have swallowed the whole "Im an American, FUCK YEAH" nonsense. Little do they know that they are seen as nothing but parasites. Even African Americans are not flag-waving, chest-beating "Proud Americans". They know where they stand in society.

But you are wrong about free speech. USA exercise ultimate free speech. That means you can say what you want but you can also face the consequences. You have the right to say 911 was inside job and your boss has a right to fire you over that comment. In many European countries its illegal to deny the holocaust. Whether people believe ir or not is irrelevant, but they can be put into prison for VOICING THEIR OPINIONS i.e. saying they dont believe holocaust happened.

To be honest, I am not even the big nationalist type. I neither believe in Somali nationalism, American nationalism, or anywhere else. But I laugh when I see European Somalis try to compare to American Somalis. Why is it that the majority of American Somalis seem well integrated (in fact generally even all American Muslims are more integrated then in Europe) and why do the younger generation who were born here or grew up for the most part in the US think of themselves as Americans?

It is not that the Somalis have changed, it is the systems that changed. I have been to Europe and I am glad my family did not go there. Racism, prejudice, not a lot of opportunities for minorities, the whole stigma of being immigrants and not "indigenous" and all these things. In the US, I honest never felt like I didn't belong and I think a lot of why these American Somali kids are like this is for the same reason. What is there to hate about America for them? There is peace, there is opportunity, there is fairness. I am talking generally not personal situations that can be outliers.

I am not going to go out and start flag waving but if I were the European Somalis, I would stop trying to remark on how well adapted American Somalis seem. We are modern day immigrants and those that adapt well bespeak of better acceptance.

I dislike Americas foreign policy and hate the fact of the U.S openly engaging in jewish ass kissing but I appreciate alot of things in this society. Someday when I return to Somalia for good I hope to implement some of these laws/dhaqan.

you mentioned racism and stuff, your funny. You may happen to live in seattle a relatively decent city but until you have lived all over america then you can make a sweeping statement like racism doesn't exist, of course there's racism in the UK it's their country and the only ones who are racist are the low class citizens who feel threatened by the immigrants and I don't care what they do.
In my opinion the UK is far more open and fair then US, there actually is free speech (even if it is extreme, see OP). If anything sensitive is said in the US then your on your way to gitmo.

Also, UK somalis are still in touch with their culture and diin, they also are the ones actively involved back home i.e. ministers in government and businessmen.

they're good citizens. arth wa arth Allah and it's way better than any all muslim countries compared when comes human rights and racism.
i would prefer to have american citizen than any other citizen.
