Somaliland is not a recognized entity. Therefore, the historic city is open to claim from anyone. FACT.

Saylac is one of the most ancient and historic towns in Somalia along with Moqdisho and Berbera.

unfortunately the historic sites in the city are now ruins and it requires urgent care and maintenance by the Somali govt to preserve it.
