Fast forward to 2009 when the ethios withdrew and the new govt was headed by the former UIC (who happened to be abgal) the populace saw the continued fighting of shabab as well as their increasingly extremist methods as unnecesary since ethiopia withdrew.

You see the, the situation was completely different but all you can see is MJ/abgal. Well in 06-7 gedi was PM. Were hawiye fighting abgal too? or do hawiye only fight when the president is MJ?

The population in xamar could care less sxb they have enough on their plate and don't have the luxury of clan politics. This is why they rioted to keep farmajo in power and wanted sharif out.
