One of my grandparents was, not my parents though. I think its economically more difficult in the USA.
And if you can't equally provide for both parties then it isn't allowed.

My mums dad had 4 wives
My dad's dad had 3 wives
Laakin all my aunts and uncles
are monogamous and have been married on
average 20 years+
Down with Polygamy.....too much hassle
