That meeting took place in Baardheere, the only Al Shabaab occupied town in Gedo. At present the military campaign is aimed there and once the Shabaab threat has been neutralized, those elders of ours will have the independence of opinion. As for now, it is fair for us to assume they are speaking for Shabaab.

You're a joke. What region in Somalia is 99% one clan? Besides if Mareexaan was 99% of the population of Gedo, it will mean there is 500,00-600,000 Mareexaan in Gedo alone which is absurd.

NoAngst,

Only in Somalinet which can be explained by the overabundance of Marexan with few Garre, Ajuuraan, Ogaden, D&M, Murule, Degodie, etc.

On a serious note if this is true, its very dissapointing. All this would do is provide more recruits for Shishkabab and possibly revitalize them. This stupid cycle is ridiculous
While people continue to squabble and have delusions of grandeur about their sub sub clans role in this process, one group continues to outsmart them all. I dont support them but fact is they are 100 times more politically mature than short sighted Somalis.

Murax wrote:Kenya is already in. I don't think they are leaving until they capture Kismaayo and all the major towns. Its what they do after that, that is the question. Will they just leave and leave the locals to make their own admin or will they try to forcibly install something? So far I see Rasmambooni leader Ahmed Madoobe and TFG accompanying the Kenyans and both of them their interests go together now. Madoobe is at loggerheads with the whole Azania thing so its gonna be interesting to see what happens once they all come in Kismaayo behind those kenyan tanks.
Is he opposed to it? If so LOL....Ras Kambooni is who the Kenyans are arming and training almost exclusively. If the guy has wishes of his own I dont see how the Azanian dream will come to fruition.

Correction:

Ugaas Cabdulaahi Macaalin Haruun is not Ugaaska Beesha Xassan Gaashirdle, he is actually Ugaaska Beesha Hawrarsame Amaanreer.
