I hope they avoid scoring cheap points off the back of ~TFG's failures. Instead focus of promoting their own unique solution to problem solving.

Cirwaaq,
Come on for heaven's sake! Blindly supporting something is what has brought us this chaos. We need people to question, to have difering views, to oppose issues in somali(a) is to move forward. We need people to question taken for granted ideas/ideas and political dogma. We need to diagonise the disease based on the symptoms.
Criticism of intellect and pessimism of will are abundant among us. That is sufficient to end civilisations let alone the culture of Nomads.

21 years have passed, many do not really care to over analyse and instead would support who ever can achieve majority consensus.

What and who do you support?

I agree.

Cirwaaq,
I like refering to the case of Martin Luthern, this 13th century monk in Germany who provided a critical analysis of the catholic church and nailed his thesis (that is the origin of the word thesis) on walls. He spearheaded prostentanism. This is not because I am a christian but because in my intellectual realm criticism is a healthy endeavour.

In Hiilqaran, I see Hegelian dialectics which is what we need if we are to succeed

I have no evidence to evaluate that method on the somali mind set.

Thesis and antithesis are plenthy however give me an example of where you have witnessed two somalis bypassing their positions to reach a synthesis.

So long as to:

- Compromise is a weaknesss
- Concede is worst then death
- Considering another's perpective is cowardice

This method will not be fruitful in the somali context.

no sxb, any warlord can start a pharmacy shop or a polyclinic then become eligible for presidency ?! moqdisho may be a violent city but that doesn't mean its president should be red handed.. somalia dont need that, it needs clean wadani ppl that have not committed no murders with great political knowledge and resemble good leadership. like the Samatars.

Any sane somali should support such a party because it transgresses the boundaries that has defined our society during the past decades.

It takes awhile for somalis to accept anyone/party that defies the primitive logic of tribalism.
you are right it will take sometime. i still don't mind if there is opposition to this party but what i would love to see is at least some logical reasoning! not like the stuff in the article above. its a relief tho that most of the replies on that website disagreed with the writer.

Warlords don't start pharmacies. I don't know what world you live in to come up with such reasoning.

Sidaa doonto ugu nacamleey these rejects, meelna uma socdaan, shago madexweyne na ha iska iloobaan. They're better off running for US congress.

I do think that it is better these 'intellectuals'', ''politicians'' etc. live in Somalia, not to say that they have no right to suggest solutions but I understand why others may not be so keen to listen to them because of their lack of on-the-ground experience.

Nin wadankiisa jooga ayaa ka war haya waxyaabaha uu wadanka u baahan yahay, dhibaatada taala iyo wadada lagu xalin karo, laakiin nin cappucino ku cabaaya Minneapolis oo iska dhisaaya cadaanka dadkiisana aflaagadeynaaya habeen iyo maalin ileen waa nin ismoodey inuu samada iyo dhulka kala haayee, waxba keeni maayo, waxna ma xalin karo.
