Do you think the Shias have no grievances at all Saudi or Bahrain ? In Bahrain they already admitted in a report that the claims Iran was behind the protests weren't true. Its reasonable to assume its the same in Saudi where such protests have existed for decades. Saudi and Iran are both competing to be regional hegemons, its not like one is more benevolent than the other, they both have regional ambitions. The same could be said of the opposite in places like Syria or Lebanon where Saudi funds opposition parties but does this mean protests in Syria are a Saudi/American conspiracy? Or anyone opposing Hezbollah is a Saudi/American puppet?

Sure they have grievances, but it does not mean that these wont be hijacked by the Iranians. Look at how they started speaking for Bahrainis and saying things like Bahrain is part of Iran? And what about the spy rings found in Kuwait? Its worse for the Saudi eastern province since its very close to Iran.Yes you mentioned Hezbollah that too!.What would one make of all of this?
I wouldnt think the Syrian protests is a Saudi conspiracy its more likely that its part of the whole 'Arab Spring', I see it the same as the Egyptian/Tunisian/Libyan revolution.

Dont get me wrong, I dont like the Sauds but I just dislike Iran more.

The Houthis

Yes Iran will manipulate the protests to their own advantage thats not surprising. But to say they planned/organized them is another thing. They erupted at the same time all the rest of the Arab spring protests came up, they opposition parties saw it as a good time to also protest their grievances. In Lebanon the Future Party( Saad Hariri) is funded big dollars by Saudi as was his father Rafiq. The people who oppose him in Lebanon always say he's a Saudi puppet etc. the same way people say opposition parties in the Gulf are Iranian puppets. The point was both of them manipulate political parties in their own interest but they dont direct them.

I am a supporter of the House of Saud.

Iran is quickly turning into a superpower, simply be realizing how strategic their allies/co-religionists are. Even if they're not behind this, it will be profitable for them to do so. They practically control Iraq and all of its oil now; Kurds sell to them for cheap and the southern fields are controlled by their proxies. Practically 100% of Saudi Arabia's oil is in a Shia-dominated region as well. Iran has so much to gain from conflict, even direct war.

I know the Zaidis, but Iran supports them nonetheless out of dislike for the Saudis.

I disagree. Yes, the leaders in Iran and the Zaydis in Yemen may have ideological differences, but their end goals are one; limiting the Saudi/American stronghold in the region. And I still believe they support the opposition (at least the Shias) with arms. But I will say Yemen is an interesting case with several armed opposition groups.
