what union doesn't realize is that 'Salafis' are less related to Al qaeda and the likes, whilst the Ennahda branch off from the Egyptian Muslim brotherhood whose direct counterpart is Dr. Ayman Al Zawihiri militant branch.

So Salafis like me are less of a threat than ennahda

Granpa union probably knows that salafis are irrelavant in Tunisia, Morroco, and Egypt and Libya infact most of the muslim world.
He is wishing that salafis were in charge, because they are easy to defeat.

The iran revolution was a fluke, a unique event.
It was not even islamic, the revolution was started and led by Tudeh the communist movement and the other secular parties.
The ayatollahs were smart enough to outmanouver and trick everyone .

They used the Iraqi invasion to kill off all other opposition.

Sunnis have to take other paths, the road is wide open.
We will get there.
