While Islam didn't outright banish slavery it was always against it and worked towards the freeing of slaves, and surely we have accomplished that today. The out dating thing u speak of doesn't apply.

Imagine they had the best of the Teachers, our prophet!
The Prophet teach them for more than twenty years.
They witnessed the Qoran being sent to the prophet!

Once the prophet pass away, they fight each other for pity excuses, vreate parties?
kill each other on massive scale!
For me they are just human beings...they are not holier than as!

Islam is/was not against slavery as institution!
freeing of slaves in islam is only to have ajr and have bigger janna in the after life.
It does not reject slavery as fundamentally evil!
