The tribe has many benefits, such as Qaaran aruuris when someone is in need, or has financial problems, etc. Just dont do go raising money for tribal militia, or favor a brother from another because of tribalism. Justice and fairness is the basis of Islam, but don't let running away from tribalism lead you to sever ties of kinship with your relatives and tribe. Also you need to understand tribalism to understand the Somali people, your own people if you one day hope to go back and do something. You need to learn your abtiris and who your forefathers, etc for historical reasons. Sadly a lot of the new kids born raised on baby formula neither know their abtiris or even the Somali language.
the momment you decide to treat someone or some people as your kind and closer to you than others, however hard you try it is inevitable to favour them when justice is concerned. your subconcious mind will lead you do that. Somalis do not need good preaching but they need good institutions to force them do justice.
